He was critized as pervert and immoral and the novel was also accused of antiamerican ( the background of the story is presented with American motels…) As the author says “I needd a certain exhilarating milieu”
HUMBERT and HUMBERT , the main character, the pervert, the poet, the obsessed old man ( mixed French and English) He adores Lolita in the outside world of nymphets and licentiousness( libertinaje) He travels around the states with his beloved Dolores. They run away from the normal life from the situation of a stepfather and his daughter…

Sin embargo, este verano lo he vuelto a leer y la decepción ha sido tal que debo retiralo de mis libros predilectos.Me atrapó como aquella vez, pero sin dejar huella… Y 10 años después me pregunto…: acaso se cambia tanto en una década?
